Sustainable Focuses

  • Sustainable Kids has a daily programming with the focus being art and design meeting sustainability; where the team proposes an interactive Sensory programming & different workshop​s.
Waste Control
  • Sustainability Lab is a very important initiative at Desa Potato Head, where they produce​ ​furniture, homewares and accessories from their restaurants’ waste.
  • Reduced their waste-to-landfill quota o approximately 3% and the first carbon-neutral hospitality brand in Indonesia. In 2018, created and launched Indonesia’s first zero-waste restaurant.
Wellness Products
  • You will receive a Zero Waste Kit including a bottle for water and refillable bottles of mosquito repellent, sunblock, aloe vera plus cutlery in bamboo and straw, so there is no need to bring it from home.


Bali has a tropical climate with year round temperatures averaging 31°C. During the wet season (October to April) you can expect high humidity, while the dry season runs from May to September with very little rain.

Good to Know

The Sustainism Lab is a creative space in the heart of the Desa’s Womb entrance, where they take waste products from the restaurants and turn them into beautiful, purposeful objects. The Potato Head Studios desk chair was designed by Max Lamb and crafted by the artisans of local design house Kalpa Taru. One chair is made from 833 plastic water bottles 


You can enjoy one or all of their 5 onsite restaurants, from local indonesian (Kaum) to their pizza straight from the oven, through plant-based vegetarian and delicious root-to-flower cocktails.


The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport, 13.5km from the hotel. Airport Transfers are available or alternatively, you can request a cab drive.
